The 2300 series is Guidi’s family of bronze ball valves for nautical applications. It comprises three variants:
- Art. 2300 — lever-operated full-flow F-F ball valve, size range 3/8″ to 3″
- Art. 2350US — flanged version of the same body, NPT/NPS thread to American standard, 3/4″ to 2″
- Cod. 2300AE — plug-and-play electric actuator version, 1/2″ to 1″1/2
All three share the same CC499K bronze body, the same internal construction, and the same full flow.
Art. 2300 — Lever-operated full-flow F-F ball valve
Construction
Body and body-end in bronze CC499K. PTFE seals and anti-friction ring. EPDM O-ring. Eco-compatible corrosion-resistant finishing brass rod. Eco-compatible corrosion-resistant finishing brass spherical ball. Stainless steel 304 lever and nut.
The stem is of the blowout-proof type, with dimensions and materials optimised for marine use. Bronze CC499K is significantly more resistant to marine corrosion than brass, which is far more vulnerable to dezincification and degradation in high-salinity marine environments.

Standard EN 10226/1 (BS 21) BSPP.

Type approvals
RINA type approval certificate no. DIP235223CS/003, normative reference ISO 9093:2020. Lloyd’s Register Type Approval Certificate LR2556185TA-01 (Group 2 — safety valves). The approvals cover installation on vessels up to 24 m LH under ISO 8666 and on classed ships.
Spare parts
The stainless steel lever and nut kit (KIT2300) is available for all sizes from 3/8″ to 3″.
Cod. 2300AE — Ball valve with electric actuator (plug-and-play)
System architecture
The actuator mounts onto the body of the 2300 valve by removing the manual lever, without dismounting the valve body from the system. The stainless steel 304 lever remains on the actuator body and allows manual operation even in the absence of electrical power.
Valve body construction
Identical to the 2300: bronze CC499K, PTFE, EPDM, eco-compatible corrosion-resistant finishing brass rod and ball, stainless steel 304 lever and nut.
Actuator specifications
12 V and 24 V DC supply. 5–20 mA interface signals. Wiring diagram printed directly on the actuator body. Integrated position sensors with open/closed feedback. Configurable opening and closing times. Torque output is inversely proportional to actuation speed: a shorter operating time corresponds to lower torque. Manual override always available.
Size range
1/2″ to 1″1/2. Nominal pressure 16 bar.

Art. 2350US — Flanged full-flow lever-operated ball valve
Construction
Identical to the 2300 for materials and internal components: body and body-end in bronze CC499K, PTFE seals and anti-friction ring, EPDM O-ring, eco-compatible corrosion-resistant finishing brass rod and ball, stainless steel 304 lever and nut.
Compared to the 2300, the connection is a circular flange with through-holes at 120°, for direct mounting to the hull or backing plates. This makes it suitable for installations to American standard.
