Two typical summer days on fast, guided roads provided the natural backdrop for the 5th edition of the Camunia Rally.

This race in the province of Brescia attracted an excellent start list in terms of both quantity and quality.

The outright winners were Bondioni-Maifredini, followed by Guerra-Salinetti and Minchella-Renzetti, all driving a Skoda Fabia R5.

This national race, valid for the Renault R3 Italian open, was both hotly contested and spectacular.

The Quaderno-Zanolo team were left lagging badly behind on the first special stage due to a poor choice of tyres, but were able to bounce back immediately, winning 4 of the remaining special stages and thus finishing just 5”9 behind leaders Daldini-Rocca.

This important second place earned important points for our team. After the victory at the 24th Valli Cuneesi Rally, this result means we can be positive about our chances of playing a leading role for the rest of the season.

The Team is now working on the next race up on the calendar: the 17th Moscato Rally. So we’ll see you on 21 and 22 July in Santo Stefano Belbo, on the roads of the Langhe area in Piedmont.
