On Sunday, June, 10th in Santa Margherita Ligure (GE), on the paths of Monte di Portofino, the 2018 Enduro Italian Championship took place, one of the most awaited races of the season.
The best Italian riders have battled for the conquest of the title of champions and for the coveted three-coloured shirts!
The team reached the appointment with the young: Filippo Masotti and Matteo Fancello. Unfortunately, the weekend does not start in the best way. Already during the first practice of Thursday Filippo is forced to stop due to a broken hand following a fall. A real shame after all the commitment and sacrifices that Pippo sustained during this season. The calendar is still long and we hope he gets back soon. We are sure of the fact that he will come back stronger than before!
Sunday, it’s up to Matteo to bring the team’s colours to the race.
On the special trails, made impervious by rain during the first half of the day, he concludes 13th in the category of beginners/young. The slippery terrain led Matteo to some mistakes but the result is excellent for his first experience in an Italian championship.
Thank you to the organization and, in addition, the most sincere congratulations go to all the winners and new Italian champions 2018!
The next events for the Guidi Rosas Bike Team will be: June, 24th in Val di Fassa (TN) for the third stage of the Superenduro circuit and, if Filippo’s recovery will proceed for the best, he will take part in the Italian leg of the Enduro World Series on July, 22nd in La Thuile (AO).
Thank you to Barbara Ragazzi and Nicola Fancello for these photos.
