A great theme-party in Milan with a long-standing partner, to take 2022 into bed

It is widely known that designers are creatives, and Milan is just the perfect venue to organise theme events, including unconventional ones.

The traditional end-of-year event of yacht design studio Hot Lab, which Guidi has been supporting for several editions now, brought together in the beautiful On house location in Via Passione, in the San Babila area, the crème of yachting: from entrepreneurs to owners, from designers to brokers, all the way to journalists and communicators.

The fun theme of the party, which was held on 2 December, was Feeling comfy at home and the (suggested, mind you, not mandatory!) dress code was, therefore, easy to guess: Pyjamas!

The most outgoing ones – or should we say the bravest – took it practically to the letter, wearing real pyjamas, sometimes matched with slippers or super-comfy shoes: all very classy, it goes without saying.

Others chose to ‘veer’ towards dressing gowns or other creative solutions, for a party that was meant to celebrate the end of a very successful year for the sector.

The collaboration between Guidi and Hot Lab, a design firm founded by Antonio Romano and Enrico Lumini that pencils mega-yachts for many leading Italian and foreign boat builders, including Baglietto, Arcadia, Tankoa, Heesen – just to mention a few -, is well-established, and the two companies’ teams are by now tied by lasting bonds of friendship.

To add even more grandeur to the already fabulous location, Guidi brought some pieces from the collection of works of art that the company has put together over the years: in particular, Alessandro Ciffo’s silicone amphorae made a wonderful display in the Milan house, to the admiration of the many guests, including international ones.

It was a lovely way to say goodbye to 2022 in style and look forward with a smile to meeting again in the year to come.
