Guidi’s design allows the actuator to be installed directly onto a valve already mounted onboard. This eliminates the need to haul out the boat or dismantle the existing hydraulic system.
Manual operation:
Our through-shaft design ensures, as required by RINA regulations, that the valve can always be operated manually under any conditions, using the lever or handwheel, without relying on awkward tools or applying high torque or excessive turns due to the reducer.

The quality of these motorized valves stems from the proven reliability of Guidi valves, made from bronze and produced according to the most advanced standards in the marine sector, with special attention to corrosion resistance and fouling prevention. Most of our valves are installed directly on the hull, serving as the primary seawater intake. For this reason, they play a crucial role in the vessel’s safety. They are fundamental for the efficient operation of onboard systems, and in an emergency, their rapid closure is the first action the crew must take to prevent water ingress and the risk of sinking.
The motorized version allows this operation to be carried out easily and without entering the engine room—an important advantage for both crew and owner.

When it comes to ball valves, we are developing two versions with different functionalities, each with distinctive features, and market feedback has been very positive.
We are already receiving requests from clients interested in customized versions, and we are actively evaluating the feasibility of these requests.

In addition, we are working closely with classification organizations (RINA, Lloyds, etc) to determine the certification requirements for these new motorized marine products.
