Participation in the Hamburg event was aimed at growing in the naval sector, too.

Guidi’s decision to take part for the first time in the SMM the leading international maritime trade fair (Hamburg, 6-9 September 2022), the world’s leading international event devoted to shipping technologies, mainly stemmed from the will to widen the Company’s presence in the naval sector, a very interesting market segment.

The yachting and the naval industries overlap much more than one would expect, and this trend is on the increase, particularly with regard to environmental sustainability.

Guidi has, in fact, always actively operated not only in the pleasure boating industry, but also in the work/military boat sector – it was just in the latter that the Company originally started manufacturing products.

So, how did things go in Hamburg? The show was interesting: Guidi’s stand was located inside the pavilion that hosted valves, pumps, compressors and fluid treatment products manufacturers from all over the world (A2, 111).
Guidi’s presence was noted and appreciated by many major international players, who made contact with a view to future possible negotiations. Other forms of cooperation, not only commercial ones, with other potential partners met at the show are also being evaluated.

Considering that this was the first time Guidi took part in such a large and widely known event (this year the SMM reached its thirtieth edition and extended over eleven different pavilions, four of which on two levels), no immediate outcomes could be expected, but the Company definitely sowed in Hamburg, hoping to reap a good harvest over the next few months.
