An event that produces immediate returns

The event was the usual one, this year taking place from 15 to 17 November: the METS – Marine Equipment Trade Show, the largest trade show in this sector, which annually gathers in Amsterdam the leading boating accessories manufacturers.

Guidi’s location, however, was new, since Italy’s entire collective display had been moved from the traditional Pavilion 1 to Pavilion 12, near Pavilions 9, 10 and 11, devoted to superyachts.

Guidi’s stand too, therefore, had new coordinates: 12.120, to be precise.

On the eve of the event, many Italian exhibitors had their uncertainties, fearing that the new arrangement would disorient visiting clients and might result in being missed by some of them.

At the end of the tree-day show, on the contrary, we can say that Guidi’s METS 2022 was successful beyond expectations, recording a very high number of contacts, i.e. visits, to the stand.
The most amazing thing for us was how quickly the new operators we got to know in Amsterdam followed up on our first meeting, sending inquiries, asking for quotes, and placing orders only a few days after the end of the show. Usually it takes much longer!
These are the signs of a market that, luckily, keeps thriving all over the world.
The METS is a B2B event, which means that the average visitor is experienced and technically qualified – they know what they want and they are able to fully appreciate high-quality products.

It is therefore particularly gratifying to meet and interact with both long-standing and new clients, with whom we can not only talk about prices, but also discuss product features, materials, and solutions.

Concepts like quality, durability and reliability – perfectly epitomized by the Longer Life Option – remain the cornerstone of Guidi’s commercial offer, and the Company will keep pursuing this philosophy in the near future, too.
